Mirror Corner Cut

This lacrosse offense strategy excels by creating confusion among defenders, forcing them to make split-second decisions as they juggle multiple responsibilities. The simultaneous actions of dodging, cutting, and setting picks dilute defensive focus and coordination, increasing the likelihood of offensive breakthroughs.

Top corner pick shift to the weak side

The core strategy of this play is to shift the defense to one side, allowing the offense to exploit the weak side by quickly moving the ball and using screens to create space for a scoring opportunity. By setting picks and reversing the field, the offense aims to free up a player to catch the ball and take a shot with minimal defensive pressure.

Kick Back Behind GLE to a off ball Pick on the Crease

These very simple 2 or 3 man plays are easy to teach, they do not need the full coordination of the entire team and they work. This can work as an inbound play, a subtle call between the dodger and the men in the crease or if done enough can be a natural part of the offense. This is a great play for beginners as it is a very simple 3 man play.

If you teach the triangle motion offense out of a 2-3-1 set, (2middies up top) this could be a nice extra wrinkle that incorporates a pick.

Top Right Slip Pick

This is a very simple technique that could be taught to your players. Especially if they come from a Basketball or Box Lacrosse Background. You could have call for this but the end goal would be for them to recognize when to do this on their own during live play.

2-3-1 Pass Down Pick Down with Backside Cycle

The best part about this play is how quickly you can run it over and over in a possession by simply throwing the ball across the top of the field and immediately initiating again. After running this play a few times in a row on a single possession the defenders’ heads will be spinning!
