The Twizzler is a passing or shooting technique that uses your shoulder, hips, and wrist to create more range and power.
How to Do It
Start with the ball in your dominant hand, or whichever hand you want to pass with.
Step into the motion.
Bring your shoulder and hips all the way across your body.
Extend your stick out as you turn.
Make a C motion with your wrist.
Finish underneath to either pass or shoot.
The Key Coaching Point
Don't just bring the stick across your body.
If you only bring the stick across, you won't get as much range or power. Instead, emphasize turning your shoulder and hips all the way across before making the C motion with your wrist.
That full-body rotation helps generate more range and power while giving you the position to finish the pass or shot underneath.
Quick Tip
Shoulder and hips first. C motion second. Finish underneath.
The goal is to make the movement fluid so you can use the Twizzler to both pass and shoot.
