In girls’ lacrosse, some of the most effective plays start when the ball isn't even in your stick. Mastering off-ball movement, timed passing, and quick finishes is essential for any attacker. The “Cut and Shoot” drill focuses on these core offensive skills by simulating a common back-of-the-net scenario, where a feeder finds a cutter in stride for a quick shot on goal.
To improve cutting into space, vision and timing of passes from X, and fast finishes near the crease. The drill also encourages players to use both hands and rotate roles for a well-rounded offensive skill set.
