In modern girls' lacrosse, attackers must not only drive toward the goal but also recognize when to reposition and find a teammate in a better scoring position. The “Dodge, Fade and Feed” drill strengthens this game sense and decision-making ability by simulating a realistic offensive sequence involving a strong dodge, a smart fade, and a well-timed feed to a cutter.

This drill is ideal for small groups of 3 to 4 players and can be practiced with or without defenders depending on the team’s level.

One player (player 1 in the picture) starts with the ball from the farthest point away from the goal.

She performs an offensive dodge, attacking toward the scoring area with intent.
