The House is a player-up offensive set that creates a 3v2 around the crease while using the top players to move the ball and look for shooting opportunities.

Option 1: 3v2 on the Crease

The first option is the 3v2 on the crease.

The three attackers cycle around the crease, pulling the two post defenders with them. The main look is for a low crease finish or a player in the middle.

The top two players focus on moving the ball quickly and scanning for opportunities.

As the defense drops to help on the crease, players on the shell can find shooting space.

The attackers should drive at the seams, get pressure, pass out, move the ball one more time, and then look inside.

Option 2: House Cutter

The second option moves one player into the middle, but she should stay toward the edge of the 8m rather than directly in the middle.

This keeps the crease cuts clear.

The house cutter works within her space and looks for opportunities created by the defense shifting toward the crease.

If a 2v1 develops on the shell, use triangle passing:

Pass out → Pass again → Slip or cut → Pass back inside.

Use Space

Spacing is important in both options.

The more space the attackers create, the more room the player with the ball has to attack.

The house cutter should stay higher rather than sitting directly in the middle of the 8m.

Using cones can help players understand the area they should work within.

Don't Rush the Player-Up

One of the biggest points is to take your time.

Move the ball and look for the best opportunity.

You don't get more points for scoring faster. Whether you score in the first 20 seconds or use the entire 60 seconds, the outcome is still one goal.

The goal is to make the best decision, not the fastest decision.

Catch and Go

When shooting space opens up, use catch and go.

Hold your space, catch the ball, and attack the opening.

The defense will continue to shift toward the crease, which can create opportunities for the shell players to attack and shoot.
