Objective: Teach attackers how to zip a pass through X after creating separation from their defender, simulating real offensive movement around the crease.
1. Set the Scenario: Position the attacker at the top of the 8-meter arc with cones marking lanes and the X area. The attacker begins with a split dodge, driving hard toward the cage as if attacking the goal. The goal is to draw the defender in and then quickly break away to pass.
2. Create Separation: Once the defender applies pressure, the attacker performs a sharp pop or rollback move to create distance. This separation gives the attacker space and vision to deliver the pass across X without being checked.
3. Zip the Pass Through X: The attacker “zips” or fires the ball across the X area to a teammate or target cone. The emphasis is on speed, accuracy, and body positioning eyes up, stick protected, and feet balanced.
