This article shows a series of exercises to imitate the offense in lacrosse, specifically in the 1-3-2 and 1-4-1 formations. The exercises focus on the two-man game and how to establish and use screens (picks) effectively
Setup: Form a group of four players in a box formation. Divide the players into two pairs: one pair will be “1 and 3” and the other “2 and 4”.
Drill: Player 3 passes the ball to player 1 and prepares for a “Dodge” (feint). Simultaneously, player 2 passes the ball to player 4, and they perform the same action on the other side of the field.
Set a screen (pick): The player who passes the ball moves to block the defender of the receiver.
