Players and Equipment: Pair up two players and place one lacrosse ball between them on the ground. Both players start back-to-back in an athletic stance.
Coach’s Whistle: When the whistle blows, both players immediately react lowering their bodies to fight for position and the ground ball.
Drop Levels and Engage: Players must bend their knees, stay low, and use their hips and shoulders to establish position. The goal is to fight for the inside angle while maintaining balance.
Scoop Through: Each player tries to scoop the ball cleanly through the opponent’s body not sideways or over. Proper ground ball form is key: low stick angle, strong legs, and eyes on the ball.
