The term “mumbo” in lacrosse means the outside man comes in and the inside man goes out. In a “Double Mumbo” it means it is happening on both sides. This is successful because it clears space for a great dodger from up while making it difficult for the team to slide. If the defense does slide then the outlets will be open on the wings. Defenses will very often go into a zone on the crease to defend this, but if they do that and they stop the play the match ups will be very different when play resumes. Which can also be very advantageous for the offense.
Starts when the ball gets to #1 up top.
Once #1’s dodge begins #5 and #2 run to the crease setting a pick on #4 & #3’s man.
#3 and #4 will curl around to a shooting position looking for the ball
