A successful clear starts before the first pass.
When the defense applies pressure, players need to know where the outlet is, how to create space, and when to move the ball. Clearing becomes much harder when everyone stands still, midfielders crowd the ball, or the first player tries to force a pass that is not there.
The goal is to build a clearing system that gives the ball carrier multiple options.
Start with movement and spacing, then add pressure, decision-making, and transition. The drills below create that progression while helping players become more comfortable clearing under game-like pressure.
