Fundamentals and Ball Control
Objective: Improve ball control, passing, and basic lacrosse skills.
Warm-Up (10 minutes)
Dynamic stretches and general mobility exercises to activate all muscle groups. Essential Stretching for Women’s Lacrosse
Steal the bacon – Focuses on speed and agility in ball-handling situations during competitive scenarios.
Ball Control (15 minutes)
5-Yard Scoop Drill to Improve Ground Ball Pickups : Helps players improve their ability to scoop the ball off the ground with precision.
"Mouse and Cat" Lacrosse Drill : Encourages evasion and stick control while dribbling and dodging defenders.Passing and Catching (15 minutes)
Top Three Drills to Learn Passing and Catching the Ball : Focuses on practicing accurate passes, improving handling under pressure, and passing with both hands.
Transitions and Movement (15 minutes)
Two-Line Running Passes – Promotes passing accuracy while players move around the field, improving timing and communication.
Passing and Cutting Drill: Practice passing to a moving teammate and cutting to open spaces to generate goal-scoring opportunities.
