60-80 minutes: Man up Man down

Objective: Practicing man-up and man-down scenarios in lacrosse prepares teams for real-game situations where penalties affect player numbers, giving them the skills to capitalize offensively or defend effectively. It strengthens teamwork, quick decision-making, and positioning, crucial for gaining an edge during power plays or penalty kills.

Note: There are traditionally a man up and man down team, meaning that many of your players will not be participating in this. Try work as many players in as much as possible or at least let them do stick work. Don’t let them just sit and watch, you can tell them to watch and learn but they will not be. They will more than likely politely zone out.

80-110 minutes: Game Tactics (6v6 Scrimmage)

Objective: Let’s play, let them have at it. Try not to over coach. Guide bit by bit but let them play as much as possible. They will learn by doing, not by stopping.

110-120 minutes: Wrap-Up:
Static stretch, while stretching :

Brief Team Discussion (2-3 minutes): Review what went well, areas to focus on, and goals for the next practice.

Cool-Down Stretches (5 minutes): Static stretches, focusing on recovery.

This practice plan combines skills, intensity, and game strategy, offering a balanced, productive practice.
