Double Crease Pick Curl Out of a 1-4-1

  • Ball starts up top with a dodge #1

  • If you best shooter is a righty #3 start him out on the lower left side of the crease

  • As the dodge starts #4 and #5 come in to set a double pick (do not worry if this is not perfect.

  • #3 comes under and curls around #4 and #5 with his hands up ready to receive the pass

    • This will make it very difficult for his defender to follow him and may force him to switch the match up wich could result in #3 having a short stick match up or a much weaker defender.

  • #1 as he dodges can look for the shot because the slides can get confused due to the activity in the crease.  If he does not have the shot he is has two options

    • Send the ball directly to #3 for the shot

    • Send the ball to #2 who will then make the feed to #3 for the shot

This is a fantastic strategy if you have one player that is far superior to the rest of your players and the defense knows it.  If he is being locked off, double teamed or they are sliding early to him this may be something you may want to try
