Man Up 2-3-1 crease overload with a wing clear and fill
This man up play follows the basic concept of overloading a side of the zone and forcing a defender in a zone to cover multiple players and/or communicate with his teammates at a high level.
When #3 receives the ball #4 will break high
The crease defender will have to stay with #4
#5 will cut in the gap that was just left open by the crease man
As the ball is moving around the perimeter #6 at X will fill the space on the wing and should be open for a shot.
At this point the defense is forced to adapt to a new 3-3 set with two men in the crease sitting high and low.
Your team can continue out of this set, which challenges the defense to adapt to a new look on the fly. Changing sets is a great thing on man up!
If you would like to resume in the original 2-3-1 set #5 can continue to X and if it is open keep coming for the sneak look and receive a pass from #6 on the wing.
