Draw and Dump Youth Lacrosse Clear

I primarily use this at the youth level. But obviously enjoy using your creativity and lacrosse mind to apply this and/or modify to apply to any situation you are on.

The Draw and Dump clear is great for when you do not have a lot of time to practice or if you are playing with a very young group or a group who is new to lacrosse.

The basic premise of the clear is a give and go. Some people call it a “rabbit” clear to reference the greyhound dogs that race as the electronic rabbit runs next to them.

One of the reasons I like this for youth lacrosse is that there is not much being asked of the other players.  They just need to go to the conventional spots on the field.  And if they are in the wrong place it will not ruin the clear as long as they stay out of the way.

- The ball starts in the corner with M1. His first option is to run it up the field.

- He knows he has 2 running adjacent to him to dump the ball off.  Him knowing that a player is next to him makes it easier for him to outlet rather than him having to survey a large feld.

- if the ball is dumped to M2 he will leg it up the field knowing that M3 will run with him  on one side and M1 is not far behind if he wants to give it back to him.

- If there is no option and the ride is completely slid over to those three players then they can try and reverse the field.
